Billy Zane is adorable but the way he portrays Funk it makes me feel like he's an douchebag more than a charming billionaire as Timothy did...
Like in The Boss when Samantha asked if he smelled like cupcakes, he said yes... and then paused and said no-- letting her take the limo. ADORABLE. Too bad Timothy was too busy.
*for the record, i probably would've loved Billy if he played him first...
I know this post is very late but I just finished the show on Hulu and thought I would read this board and when I read this one, I thought yes! I totally agree, Billy as funk came off sooo different than Timothy as funk. Timothy was a lot more cute and charming and billy as funk came off creepy, douchy, etc. I think he is a lot older too (or at least looks it) so that seemed to make a difference too.

I totally agree on it... I feel like Timothy Olyphant was more slick and charming than Billy Zane. Sucks he didn't come back to play the character...
I totally agree. I'm watching the episode where Zane plays Funk, and it's just not the same. Olyphant was so charming and adorable in the role, Zane seems to be a bit of jerk.
EDIT: I know absolutely no one is reading this, but I just finished the episode, and it's not entirely Zane's fault. The writing completely changed the character.
