Not very rewatchable

The mark of a good comedy series is rewatchability, think Seinfeld. This show is very clever and amusing at first, but when you watch it again it gets stale.

friends finds younger audiences, I don't see why this wouldn't

for me probably the earlier seasons are rewatchable but... latest seasons are a snooze fest for sure.

This show doesn't have jokes. I understand the appeal of the show, but there's no jokes in the writing. This has to be the unfunniest "sitcom" that's ever been. It's the jokes that keep sitcoms fresh. The setups and punchlines and payoffs.

Also, given the heaps of pop culture references this show is steeped in, i'm not sure how well that will resonate with new audiences a few decades from now. It'll certainly always have a strong nostalgia factor for fans of the show today.

I overwatched the first several seasons of this show, so I nearly have them memorized. After a few years, when I've forgotten most of the jokes, I might be able to watch them again. I quit watching the last few seasons because it wasn't funny anymore. It seemed to be mostly about Bernadette sitting in bed, insulting Howard. She was so abusive I'm surprised he didn't murder her. I won't be watching those seasons again.
