I doubt anyone will portray her. She's hardly a character that we need to see.
Racket?!?!...That's Brahms!!...Brahms' 3rd Racket!!! - Basil Fawlty
Agreed. Why would they need her?
shareMaybe the actress in this commercial?
I'll agree it's unlikely we'll see her, but...
Liza Lapira would be a decent choice, I think she's around her mid 30's.
I'm no fan of Margaret Cho, but she's late 40's which could fit with the hearing aid While that's a bit late for her to have been pregnant last year, Bernadette never said she was really pregnant, only that she told people so. It would fit with Cho's appearance in Weird Al's 'Tacky' video (about 50 sec):

She won't come up again. I found it annoying that they used her name so much considering she wasn't on screen at all...
shareThere are so many smart Chinese scientists in real life. There should be at least one on the show at some point during its run.
shareNow that Penny told Bernadette that she's the one who let news of the pregnancy slip, there no reason for us to see Barbara Chen.
_______
The sun is shining... but the ice is slippery.
They did have too smart North Koreans, Joyce and Dennis Kim. Also, the Chinese Leonard and Sheldon, in "The Cooper-Hoffsteder Polarization"
Here is the scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mp4nbbgzsQU
Also the manager of the Chinese restaurant, Chen.
What they should do is have a dumb Chinese person, a Chinese Zack, to really mess with the expected paradigm.
And the Asian boy genius that got Sheldon so upset.
shareThat was Dennis Kim
shareI forgot his name. I will go back and watch it again. Did he and Joyce have the same last name? I wonder why they did that? It's like giving Raj two girlfriends named Emily. Just seems odd to me.
share"Fewer than 300 (approximately 280) Korean family names are currently in use, and the three most common (Kim, Lee, and Park) account for nearly half of the population."
Kim alone is 22% of all Korean family names.
Meanwhile, Smith and Johnson are each 1% or less of American family names.
So in that sense, it makes perfect sense that two Korean characters would both have the last name Kim even if they're not actually related.
More important question: Who will play Wheelchair Cathy?
shareNope, she never showed up, despite being mentioned so prominently, which is weird.
