Are people really that dumb about hot tubs?

Do some people really think that wearing "a bathing suit" actually keeps things clean? Do they think it's like a Mr Coffee filter or something? A Mr Coffee filter still makes coffee!

C'mon, seriously. It doesn't keep the water clean or whatever.

I dont think it's not so much a matter of keeping things clean and more a matter of 'do you want your neighbours to see you naked or not?'.

In real terms, yes. but that didn't seem to be the issue in tonight's episode.

Plus I've used hot tubs, and especially with a light as shown, I don't believe it's possible to have so many bubbles that you couldn't see that someone was already in the tub. Let alone that when Raj stretched out like that, he would be pretty much guaranteed to touch Stuart, and would have known someone was there before he popped up.

I expected that Stuart had hidden in the nearby bushes or something, which was additionally complicated by his being naked.

yeah, hot tub was not big enough to stretch out in and not touch Stuart

Sounds much like what I'm thinking when I see the Sybaris commercials. I am quite sure I wouldn't want to go in one of those tubs...

I don't know if it's peculiar to guys, peculiar to the English, or just peculiar to me specifically - I'll freely admit that the attitude is peculiar and illogical.

I can cope with knowing that bacteria from other guys have been in the system, I trust the works to be keeping the water properly hygienic. But the idea of touching something with my naked bits, that has previously been touched by another guy's naked bits ... there isn't enough EWWW in the world to describe how that makes me feel. (Logically, it must happen, since I swim in public swimming baths, but that's a lot different from seeing a naked guy in a hot tub that I privately own. I'd be selling the thing off, or else setting fire to it.)
