OT: Describe Your Relationship With Your best Friend

I have had the same best since age 14 who is also my roommate and parents' surrogate daughter. Id be lying if I said we never clash but most of our conflicts me being concerned about her dating choices, rarely anything personnel between us.

She is my confidante, my unpaid attorney, assistant chef, cat groomer, hairdresser, my primary secret holder and frequent clothes borrower to an extent where I can't remember which of her stuff is mine and which of my stuff is really hers.

Now tell me about your best friend, how long you have known them and what your relationship is like.

I know my bf for more then 40 years and he is a dick. lol He is a kind of combination between Sheldon and George (Seinfeld). Realy smart but also a complete a-social dick. Having said that I can call him in the middle of the night and he will be there. He doesnot care how I look or smell lol takes me as I am. There is more but that last thing is what makes a best friend.

i get on very well with my best friend, we have a lot in common and always have a laugh when we get together. I would never dream or criticising who she went out with, i would consider that very impertinent. We have never borrowed each other's clothes, we don't wear the same size and have different colouring and different taste. we have known each other 36 years now.

My best friends are my two sisters (and my husband, of course, but I will stick to my sisters for the purposes of this thread). They've always been my greatest friends and confidantes. We've all had other "best friends" throughout our lives, but they were always just based on commonalities like school or jobs. Once we moved on, the friendships fizzled.

I don't really have the inclination or energy to sustain outside friendships, at least not ones that would be described as "best".

Well, right now I'm in Hawaii babysitting my best friend's kids while she travels for work to Korea (and both of us missing the Cubs in the World Series), so I'd say we have an OK relationship.

Sorry to be slushy but my BEST friend is my husband. We have the same goals and clicked the second we met, it is he who I trust above all people. We share the same daft, stupid sense of humour (lots of fart and toilet humour). And we would go to the ends of the earth for one another. I adore him and he is the centre of my life.

We know each other 10 years now. We also give each other the 'tough love' treatment when needed!

To you, Baldrick, the Renaissance was just something that happened to other people, wasn't it?
