Rank these 7 characters (from favorite to least favorite).

Some of them changed over time so it's hard to rank them, Leonard, Amy, Raj are pretty likable. Howard was creepy at first but improved after meeting Bernadette, he's funnier and nicer now. Never cared for Penny, she always acted kind of smug as if she was better than the others even though she's the least smart person of the group, she's pretty sarcastic and bossy too. Bernadette was nicer at first but became mean and sarcastic later on, stealing clothes from a homeless bin was pretty low. Sheldon can be annoying but he can't really help it, he's pretty funny. I kind of feel bad for Stuart, everyone either mocks or ignores him.

I liked Bernadette at the beginning but they don't know what do with her so they just kind of made her a pretty version of Howard's mother but it's not as funny because you would always imagine what she must have looked like.

Now that Leonard no longer is pursuing the unattainable woman his character is pointless... both he and Penny play the role of the straight men... but at least Penny is cute.

The top 4 drive all the comedy in the show... you could kill off Leonard or Bernadette and the show wouldn't go downhill (might even improve)

Howard - because of his jokes
Sheldon - for being that type
Penny - especially in the early days
Leonard - the most relatable
Raj - the idealistic side
Amy - came along later, but has her moments
Bernadette - the writing for her is iconsistent

But of course it's how they are together that matters most.
