This film was partly filmed in Argentina. If you check the credits you'll see the name of the casting director for Argentina. And then there is Argentine actresses Norma Aleandro (of The Official Story, 1984) and Norma Argentina (Live-In Maid, 2004, also with Aleandro). This is a reunion for Hopkins and Aleandro, who were together in the Made-for-TV movie One Man's War (1991).

Argentina is an exquisite country.
Uruguay is as well- seems like they could have honored the script by shooting it literally on location, though. Probably more red tape in Uruguay.
