Monica Bellucci's character

...how much is Monica Bellucci in the movie? I can't wait to see it, even if I heard she has a very short on screen time, like 10 minutes. Does anybody know?

reply

She has a few scenes, though they're quite short. She has an important role, but if you're only going to see the movie because of her, don't bother. It's a brutal and upsetting movie and Bellucci's character not particularly sympathetic.

thanks, i've seen the movie and i loved it :)
i was just curious about Bellucci, too bad she has like a 5 minutes on screen.

For the ones that say she looks so old. She's 47 now, most women would love to look like her at 47.

Here she talks about the movie "The Whistleblower" and I think she looks great.

Does anyone think she looks old for her age in this interview?

My mother is 55 and still looked younger than her in the film.
(Yes I know she was made to look older - I'm talking about the bags under her eyes)

Thanks for that youtube link, EyesRed. I saw this movie yesterday and was surprised at the outward appearance of her character. As others have noted, she does indeed look well beyond her years.

Part of my surprise was because I have seen Rhino Season, filmed two years after The Whistleblower, where she looks much younger.

I am guilty as charged for watching this movie only because Ms. Bellucci was in it, albeit only two, maybe three, short, unsympathetic scenes. However, I felt the movie stood strong on its own merits. Once I got involved in the story, my 'Monica addiction' was soon forgotten.
