Things I Thought About After Watching This Movie (SPOILERS)

A very dark, disturbing movie, which held my attention throughout. When the film was over, I had some lingering questions. Maybe I can get them answered here?

1. "Deadgirl" was in the basement of the asylum for who knows how long. She was tied up, covered in plastic, and laying there alone. Apparently, the asylum had been non-functioning for many years since it was run down and delapitated. How was she able to survive without eating all that time? No food. No water. Aren't these basic elements to survive on...even for the undead?

2. The scene near the end, where Rickie is in school, right before he wakes up from either daydreaming or sleeping/dreaming, it's a shot of the outside in the night. A girl is running in slow-motion in what looks like an open area of woods. To me, it looked like a girl in a white nightgown. Was it a vision of Joann escaping and running off wild like the deadgirl did when she escaped? Is it Joann at all? Or is it the deadgirl?

3. The zombies....or deadpeople. So, deadgirl was one. She bit Wheeler, who would have turned into one, but J.T. kills him on the spot. But the jock has his happening at school. Did he die in the process or did he become undead? If he became undead, wouldn't the people at school know something was up? And J.T. who was bitten by the deadgirl. Where did he go? Seems like a lot of bodies around, who can possibly be deadpeople are just M.I.A. when Joann and Rickie are "alone" back in the asylum.

Hope I can get some insight!

It looked like a nightgown to me at first too, but it's just oddly reflective deadgirl. I don't even understand your first question, of course undead don't need food. And they aren't surviving anything because they are dead, which is the antithesis of survival. It's like asking whether they need oxygen. Does a vampire die if you suffocate it? Look at it this way, which would be worse, an empty stomach or 3 bullets in the stomach?

True. Good point you make. Thanks for the insight!
