Won Three Film Fests

We saw this at the Dixie Film Festival where it won Best Feature. We read it's now also won Best Horror Feature at both the Illinois International Film Festival and the Action on Film Festival. It's a very good creepy little ghost story and coming out on DVD in November. Check it out. Btw, we heard from a friend who works in Hollywood that Robert Downey Jr. is going to do something very spooky and supernatural which should be really cool!!

Wouldn't be winning these fest awards if it wasn't pretty decent. Hope the fest wins encourage more of these kind instead of all the splatter flix!! Those are so tired!

I saw this at Shriekfest and thought it was actually very good for a small independent. Kind of a throwback to more psychological movies with a solid creepy tone. I'm glad to hear it's going to be released this month and it's winning fests.

Thats nice to hear, i was looking forward to see a horror movie of this psychological twist again, havent been one for quite a time.

yes this one makes u think and as I said in another post, its creepy without going overboard. Even though John Schneider's part was very small, he was good especially in the last scene inside the cabin where the husband realizes somethings definitely wrong, very wrong.

If this movie won three film fest awards then the standards for horror movies must really be going downhill. I didn't think it was creepy at all. It was the same ghost story that you've heard a hundred times before. There was no twist, either. Just a really generic B movie.

I suppose that the message here is that one cannot judge the quality of a film by how many awards it wins at minor film festivals. The problem with Conjurer wasn't casting, direction or photography. It was the script. Without a decent script all the good acting, direction, editing or photography are a waste of time. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
