I really like this programme..although in saying that I thought the Teletubbies were good at first but then they just got annoying, no doubt the same will happen with this.
Anyway I think Tombliboo ee is really cute...definitely my favourite character!

Makka Pakka is my favourite (although not for the other people's reasons). He is adorably cute, and he has a pet rock.
I can't stand Upsy Daisy. She is so irritating, and she is a slag. In today's episode, she went around kissing everything she possibly could. Including the bridge. And the Ninky-Nonk, which refused to work until she kissed it.

it's definitely MakkaPakka. I love its colour, shape (not because it's a walking boob, though I do understand the comparison), hobby/job... everything about it! The Pontipines are my second favourites, mostly because they speak in farts.
I've been raving about this programme to people even though I am aware that, as you say, it will probably get pretty annoying pretty soon :(
I came to this series by complete accident - honest guv' - whilst editing a two hour rock concert movie (of the band Planet Gong) which is very loud and very guitary; it became important to switch off the confuser and watch something inocuous for half an hour ... and I found The Night Garden.
Are we sure this is for kids? It's like something the Arts Centre would have done, circa 1967, with a head full of acid ...
So, my favourite charcters? Iggle Piggle (dig the blanket and the lopside mohican) and Makka Pakka for being 'cute'. The Pontipines are really starting to annoy now or maybe it's the bad animation, whichever.

Makka Pakka by far, he is just so amazingly cute, but you have to feel sorry for him, the three tombliboo's have eachother, upsy daisy and iggle piggle have eachother, the pontipines and the wottingers have eachother yet poor makka pakka is left all alone with his og pog!!

yeah Makka Pakka is a lovely little soul, I want to adopt him, he can do the dishes uncomplainingly every day and waddle around being cute.
i don't like to read the disparaging comments regarding Upsy Daisy and her allegedly loose ways; i find her engaging and energetic, her and Makka Pakka are good foils for one another.
the Pontipines suck, plus the parents are forever losing their children, which amounts to neglect really ..
