huge continuity error

or i've already lost the ability to focus on this, less than ten minutes in.

I just clearly watched a man being first cornered by runaway heavy earth moving equipment, ala "maximum overdrive", and then beheaded by a taught wire.

Mere moments later a construction crew finds him, fully intact, head firmly attached, but just as dead, having been impaled multiple times on some sort of spikes.

so...they either forgot between scenes just exactly how they killed him, or it was someone else and i was so unable to care that i missed something.

this movie is on right now on sci fi...excuse me, syfy, and it seems to be part of a kevin sorbo marathon. so far we've had sentient lightening in one movie, sentient fire in another, and now sentient gooze.

who was it suggested he just get a job pumping gas? i'm down with that.

reply

For the record, the guy impaled on the spikes certainly seems to be a different actor, so he's presumably meant to be a different character, but it came immediately after the guy lost his head, which made it seem like the same guy.

So, if you two weren't afflicted with zero attention span, you would have later learned that the creepy black goo causes people to hallucinate what appears to be their worst fears, which led the guy fall down an embankment onto the rebar. Sad, I know, but not a continuity error.

reply

And then presumably the "Attack of the Killdozers" was his worst fear?

reply

If it's two characters, then there is an error later in the movie when the biologist says "a" construction worker was killed. If it's one character (as per the biologist), then it IS a continuity error.
