Uwe Boll likes to show kids being killed

SPOILERS:

There are two scenes that were pretty disturbing in this movie. It's not that often movies in Hollywood showing kids dying unless they're sick. Well, this movie show two killing scenes of children.

First is pretty disturbing. The main vampire villian picks from a group of captured children to drink his/her blood. He picks a young girl, gets her to lie down on his lap. Calms her down from crying and gets her to show him her neck. The vampire looks as if he's about to rape the girl and starts sucking on her neck. He kepts saying "pretty pretty" to the now dead girl. What a sick scene.

The other scene is basically a trap the vampire villian set up for the Rayne character where the captive children gets hung by noose in the process. One of the kids ended up getting hung and the kid gets strangled to death. It's another sick scene.

What a pervert this Uwe Boll guy is.

He did it in one film, not much of a point here.

This movie is to you as a Rorschach test.

Just a film, everything fake, yet you mainly see the horrible things.
Maybe you're a child murderer youself......

reply

Jam It's, "This movie is is like a Rorschach test to you."

That was pretty funny by the way. I agree with you. It's a cheap way to make someone seem evil, but that was all it was there for. on he bright side, he didn't call him a nazi, lol!

You know me BBSY,

I'm not a hater, and I don't have a problem with critics at all.
But this dude acted as if this was the first film ever in which a child was killed.

Anyway, the perfect guy to make fun of.

(and sorry for my bad gr@mm@r, 88SY ;-)

reply

lol! Yeah I know, that's why I agreed with you. Like I said it's a cheap tactic, but it works. I saw one of the scenes he mentions, I thought it was actually decent enough. He isn't the best actor, but he still is pretty good and he made the scene work.

I only corrected you, because I thought I remebered you telling me English was not your first language, I could be wrong though. I didn't mean to offend you if I did.

OMFG KIDS WERE KILLED IN A MOVIE!!!!

at least it was a movie. were they died relatively fast or not as horrific as real life.

i mean kids are raped and murdered worldwide on a daily basis. and art is simply imitating life. if u wanna split hairs about ppl being perverted and monsters... ur taxes pay to kill Iraqi kids daily. and thats real life.

ps. im' no grammar master nor speller...(as seen above)...but my freshman lit teacher taught me to remember pictures are hung, ppl are hanged. just for future reference.

reply

Uh no...the point here was that Boll seemed to take sadistic pleasure in the murder of children in the movie. He make it overly gratuitous and showed it as explicitly as he could. A typical Boll tactic to go for the obvious shock factor.

It's not about kids really being hurt in real life and documenting that reality. There are plenty of movies that do such. It makes me rather ill to think that anyone might get off on what was mentioned at the start of this topic, but I wouldn't be surprised if Boll did.

I just didn't want to be a loser anymore. - Mitsuko Souma, Battle Royale

reply

Sadistic pleasure? And how would you know that?
Or did you just need an excuse to bash him?

Even I though this was a bad film, but saying something like that is just stupid.

I've got 2 things on my mind.
The other one is also sex.

...Says the person with the Battle Royale quote in his signature. Are you trolling or are you really expecting to be taken seriously?

reply

What made me sick and dizzy was the shaking camera. There were only a few scenes where it stayed still. I did expect a better movie, not Underworld quality but at least more fighting and dialoge. The dick joke line was funny. And other than a super hot actress that was one the only other good thing.
Oh well

reply

It's a vampire movie. People get killed in vampire movies. Sometimes kids. Did you complain about Pirates of the Caribbean 3 when the kid gets hung for being a pirate?

reply

I agree. Boll is simply a perverted little *beep* of a *beep* who can get bent by a moose for all I care.

i agree, there are a lot of non-hollywood films where they show children dying on screen.

but in this movie it was just pointless,it seems uwe tried to add them in for shocks,i wasnt disturbed by these scenes,i just sat there wondering what was going through uwes head when he felt the need to film these scenes.

I once punched a guy out for saying that "Hawk the Slayer" was rubbish

If you ask me, I am sick and tired on kids and children staying alive when most others die. Take Snakes on a Plane for instance. Spoilers: The lady risks her own life and the lives of others just for a baby.

I take it you've never seen Interview With the Vampire then you *beep* child.
