i would like to ask a question. how come celtic are so underrated in this game?
and also how come they only get £2m to spend in the game? this is very unfair and unrealitic as at the start of the 06/07 season celtic received £8m so should have this money available surely?

alot of english people may disrespect celtic but after beating man utd and taking milan to extra time in the champs league and winning the league the league at a canter and the scottish cup so surely deserve to be rated fairly in the next game

any thoughts?

Celtic arn't really that good are they? They win back-to-back titles in the game anyway so don't complain. They would rot in the Premier division.

typical ignorance. celtic have beaten man utd liverpool blackburn juventus barcelona lyon etc in recent years and got to a european final in 2003 but would rot in the premier division?

get real. one season in the premier divison may not prove so great but after the money pours in and with the team they already have they would be challenging the top 4 no bother.

after the first season with the money in the EPL i believe they could make a serious attempt to get in the top 4.
i believe they might win a trophy though as the top teams rarely play their full teams in the carling cup. also in the fa cup they could over come some of the bigger teams as they have in the past ie man utd.

yes and no lol

i mean yeh because they would receive much more money and get better players and do better in europe and become one of the top sides in europe again.

no because they are a scottish club and have won scottish honours and would have to move to england and would be playin in england every second week.

i would prefer it though

i think celtic and rangers are not wanted in the EPL because they would be too much of a challenge. whereas Swansea Cardiff Wrexham arent.

this is how i see it, Celtic got to i think the quarter finals of the champs league and got praised for getting so far whereas Man Utd and Chelsea got to the semi-finals and got critisised. The Premier Division has 4 of the best teams in the world and is simply light-years ahead of the scottish league. No offense just saying what i believe.

i have no doubt in my mind that the english premier league is better than the scottish league. the reason celtic were praised so highly is because they have barely any money to spend whereas the losers of the premiership get more than celtic do for winning it!
im not sayin celtic would crack the top 4 straight away but after a season or 2 in the premiership they would have much more money to spend and then would have a real chance of progressing in europe and crack the top 4.

Celtic will never improve until they are in a better league so the Celtic you love now will be the same until you are 80.

ive not made a comment on this thread for ages so thought i would.

i just want to get a few things clear :

1. the english league is much better
2. there is much more money in english football
3. the relegated teams in the premiership get more money than the winners of
the SPL
4. i DO NOT think celtic or rangers would get in the top 4 in the first season
5. after a few seasons and receiving the money on offer in england, i think,
celtic could break into the top 4 If the sign good players with that money.
6. celtic were praised so highly for getting into the last 16 because the
money they receive is much less than most of the other teams competing in
the champions league.
7. celtic have proved themselves capable of beating the top sides in europe in
recent years e.g. barca, juve, man utd, liverpool, lyon etc

thats all for now and its what i think

yeh but they would surely be relegated in the first season. the point im making is celtic can beat the top 4 e.g. man utd last season. they would surely not be relegated so would have the chance to receive the money to crack the top 4.

i personally have a soft spot for newcastle and spurs!

i think if they get a decent injury-free season i think they could definately challenge for the uefa places.

p.s winding me up wasnt very nice :P
