Too bad the daughter wasn't mugged
What a brat.
shareYeah, what a snot. Although to be perfectly honestly both parents are lying to her so she's working off false information.
shareDid she get along with her dad and stepmom?
shareShe got along with the money. Dad and Step had the money.
shareA total ungrateful little snot. I couldn't stand her. So, completely disloyal to her mother.

I'd like to say typical teen but I've personally known some that would not be this crappy to their down on her/his luck parent. Of course none of the ones I've known were raised wealthy. That probably changes priorities.
shareThis is why so many kids are brats these days. This generation of parents put their kids on pedestals. The sun sets on them and the world revolves around them. No parent should have to put up a front for their kids in order to be loved or accepted. She should have loved her Mother unconditionally not matter what her financial circumstances.
shareIt's been called Family Values since the 80's, the Children come First. Sounds great, but like every idea taken too far, stinks.
shareAgreed I could not stand her.
shareLeft a bad taste in my mouth too. If Mom was still living out of her car, struggling to pay bills, and eat free snacks from stores by movie's end would daughter still be "proud" of her and not whine about how her life is ruined?
"Just look at the flowers, Lizzie."
I agree. Another child brought up with the "me first" attitude. She was definitely old enough to be told exactly what her father did to breakup the marriage and certainly to know what kind of a financial strain her mother was under.
shareThe mom was a total retarded push over though lol
shareI just saw this movie...yes, I agree...either her or that deadbeat ex-hubby...
