Linda's kooky facial expressions in this movie.

i think she just over acts and seems nervous in this movie.

I thought I was the only that recognized that. It was odd. Her facial expressions exaggerated her wrinkles and the shaking was weird. She looked too old for the doctor at times.

I've been a fan or hers since beauty and the beast but I was really disappointed with this one.

The universe utilizes me because I'm good.

She acted like she wasn't comfortable in front of a camera when they were filming. I think the weird facial expressions were from her being nervous. Maybe she hasn't acted in awhile?

I agree! I remember thinking to myself what is wrong with Linda in this movie. Her acting was "strange" for her and her facial expresstions were odd. To me she seemed to be "on" something. She has said she is on medications for her bi polar disorder. Maybe they changed her medicines up. I thought this could have been a really cute movie but Linda's behavior was so distracting I could barly follow the story. I have watched the episodes of "Weeds" and "Chuck" this year that Linda was in and she seemed very normal, nothing like in "Home By Christmas". Linda is a beautiful and very talented actress I was worried something was really wrong with her after watching this movie, but it seems she is back to normal now.

LOL! Too funny. But, come on, guys; she's playing a woman who just lost her home, husband and a day-to-day relationship with her young daughter. Even if her facial expressions, etc. weren't intentional, I think they made the character more believable.

I agree that she looked too old for the doctor, and her "makeover" in the story was hideous in the extreme. Her face looked distorted.

This is one of those corny yet likable movies...well in my opinion.I admit there were some parts though that made me think "come on Linda I KNOW you can act better!"

I quite agree; 8)

And in the UK you can't seem to avoid it; it appears to be on cable here at least once a week during the build up to Christmas.

I haven't seen her on TV for ages, so was intrigued and decided to watch it. I think Linda's wrinkles and kooky expressions were rather endearing; and kind of cute, especially after she gets her hair done.

I agree that her performance was surprisingly bad; so much so that I found it uncomfortable to watch her through most of the movie. As a result, I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone.

She looks too old and almost ugly at times. Her hair-style emphasizes her low brow. Just saying--unfortunate.
