Did David read Watchmen while in the psychiatric facility?

It was so jarring the way he was dressed so similar to Rorschach, even his narrating was reminiscent of the character. I'm surprised legal action wasn't sought against the creators of this film.

Anyways, just watched it, thought it took too long to develop itself into a coherent story and, although the acting was good, I gave it a 5/10. Direction and production were mediocre at best and it irks me that they seemingly stole a character from a graphic novel I adore (unless credit was given and I didn't notice).
