compared to the others...

Blue Smoke was FAR better then the first two movies. I was sitting there before it started thinking that i was going to be disappointed but i wasnt. It was great! I liked the book, but it wasnt my favorite Nora Roberts book. They made sure they stayed true to the book. They didnt change around the people in the book like they did in Montana Sky. And they didnt change the plot too much like in angels fall. i really cant find anything that upset me too much about this movie. wow lets hope that the last one carolina moon is as good as this one was :)

Hi. I have to agree. I didn't not like the first two but this one was definitely the best so far. I was so excited to see they didn't change the storyline about Bo seeing Reena for the first time at that party. That was one of my favorite things about the book. I was glad they kept that true to the book. Although their love story felt rushed in the movie I still enjoyed this one best of all.

I'm in the process of re-reading Carolina Moon (it's been so long since I first read it). I truly hope the movie is as well done as Blue Smoke. The commercials last night for Carolina Moon looked really good.

So, yes all in all this one was the best so far. Blue Smoke wasn't one of my favorites either (perhaps because my ex-boyfriend bought it for me) but I definitely enjoyed the movie.

I agree. I definitely enjoyed the movie. I like the way they interpreted the day Reena and Bo meet in her backyard; The way he was bumbling and screwing up his words was really cute.

I really liked the first movie (Angels Fall) - in fact, I thought it was an exceptionally well-made TV movie.

I liked Blue Smoke too, but I didn't like the way they portrayed Bo. I thought he came across as scary when they first met in the backyard and the relationship was so rushed. (How long had it been since Hugh had died!?) Then when they were at the restaurant and Reena's dad talked about combining their homes into one and having lots of children - his expression looked weird... not necessarily like a guy would look when his girlfriend's dad talks to you like that, but a scary expression like he was going to go insane.

So I thought FOR SURE he was the young son of the guy who set the fire to the restaurant. With a name like Bo Goodnight, sounds like it's made up so I thought he had changed it. And even though he appeared to be "in love at first sight" with Reena at the party, I thought they were just trying to get you to think that he was in love with her, but really he was just happy to find her so he could take his revenge.

Okay, I think I've seen TOO MANY tv movies! They do so many stupid things in them, you never really be sure what to think!

I should also mention that I've never read any of the books, so perhaps that has something to do with my perceptions.

Yes I too thought this was better than the first 2 and plus I just like Matthew Settle. I thought the party scene where he sees her is great and I too love when they meet in the back yard

I think it was the weakest of the three so far. Alicia witt didn't play a cop very well at all.

I agree. This is my favorite so far. I read that Montana Sky was the best of the 4, but Blue Smoke is the best in my opinion. Haven't seen Caroline Moon yet though. I haven't read any of the books either. I felt Montana Sky stood on it's own, but it felt very TV movie-ish. Not necessarily a bad thing. Blue Smoke really felt like a novel to me. I liked it a lot.

It was pretty hokey and the narrations had become quite annoying after a while. Too many flashbacks for my taste. They could have done it more successfully. It is a shame because I really like Scott Bakula, but just didn't enjoy this one.

It had been 22 months since Hugh died. And yes, it was rushed. Carolina Moon was done far better than Montana Sky and way way better than Sanctuary.

I guess it wasn't the dove...

It surprised me. I bought it for one dollar at Dollar Tree without looking it up. It's pretty entertaining. I'm not a fan of romance novel films.
