Iris Chang dedication


I sure hope to see something about her in this film and a dedication to her as well as the victims. This film wouldn't have been made if it wasn't for her. She was the greatest historian of my generation. I feel that the continued denial of the Japanese government fed into her depression and the weight on her conscience.

Maybe Gorbachev, the end of the Cold War, China's rising economy / increased openness and the "Schindler's List" movie also have something to do with it?

Somehow, it is now a feasible topic. The facts have been lying around for decades.

But I don't mean to belittle her contribution.
