I like this show's sense of continuity.

While the show doesn't follow a story arc, one thing I do like about it are reoccurring themes, such as returning villains and characters, references to past events (such as Marlene turning Feral once she leaves the zoo), etc. It makes things more open when episodes aren't self-contained.
