Skipper and Marlene?

Does Dreamworks want Skipper and Marlene to hook up? They themselves put heavy hints in the show like how Marlene and Skipper are usually standing next to each other almost every episode.

In the Golden Squrril ep when Marlene is taken by by the Rats, Skipper panics and screams "Marlene!", when no one else does and when Fred shows up and says "Hey, what happened to the otter?" Skipper rises up with a demtermined face.

I think he loves her.

I wasn't really on board with Mad 2 with Melman and Gloria hooking up I find Skilene ok cause it's kinda cute to find someone hooking up with Skipper who can out wit him.

Orcas are the best.

It's Skipper duty to ensure the safety of ones under his protection. Marlene was his neighbor and the penguins' best friend. I don't think he'd just leave her in danger because he's not "dating" her. As a friend he does care about her, yes. But he's not dating her.
