The Ghost of David E. Kelley
Am I the only one who thinks Eli Stone has all the characteristics of a David E. Kelley show? And yet I was amazed to discover that (as far as I can see) he has had nothing to do with it...

I completely agree. In Ally McBeal, the title character had hallucinations of people singing all the time. And, the character Billy had a brain tumor that made him act erratically.
On Eli Stone, the woman who played the secretary, Loretta Divine, played a similar character on Kelley's show Boston Public.
I like this show (just watching it on Netflix now) but it seems Extremely reminiscent of Kelley's work.
Very reminiscent of Ally McBeal, but with a hint of saccharine sentiment. 'McBeal' dabbled a little more in eccentricities bordering on crazy.
