U2 appear at the Dublin Film Festival

U23D had its European premiere last night, February 20th, at the Dublin International Film Festival. All four members of U2 and co-director Catherine Owens attended and gave a few introductory remarks.
Unfortunately, due to a server error, the film stalled at around the thirty minute stage, at the start of Love and Peace Or Else, but it was quickly resolved.
It was being shown in two screens simultaneously, and most of the people in attendance in the screen I was in were either involved in the film or friends and colleagues of the band.

The film itself is excellent, and would definitely warrant repeated viewings, so anyone feeling guilty about not recycling their 3D glasses should bear that in mind.

I'll be in Dublin on 8th March and I'll be staying around the corner from the Cineworld cinema on Parnell Street, where the premiere was held.My U2 penpal of 19yrs is arriving on the same day from San Francisco and we plan to see the film together. We're travelling around the North and then returning to Dublin on the 15th, just in time for St. Patrick's Day I think I can safely say that we'll be trying to see U23D as many times as possible.I can't wait!
