What was the significance of him telling the patient to eat more meat, then a little girl said, "he's lying mama, he says that to everyone".

Was this some type of indictment against his medical training? Where did they get this from?

To me, the most interesting parts of the film, were attempts to make him more human, about a guy many don't know on a personal level, hence, i believe the script writers had to concoct things..... Another example was Che not wanting to wear makeup on TV, then changing his mind.... Where did they get that? Just make it up?
