Witch Death SPOILER
How did the witch die besides being dunked? Was there a significance to her being drowned?

Just that there was a thread throughout that the witches did not want to go into or near the water. If you see what happened to her when she is dunked in the water (one of the supposed two ways of killing a witch; in the old trials, if the person was a witch, they would not sink to the bottom, they would float. Drowning a witch was supposed to work). My guess is that water = purification and cleansing so a witch would be adverse to that! But this is just my supposition here.
Btw, did you see this film on dvd or on Chiller. I wondered if there was an alternate or longer ending on dvd. It seemed too easy that Jeff lives at the end and goes off with a trucker. I was sure there would be some ending where he was followed or a witch was waiting for next year or something like that...I saw it on Chiller, so I didn't know...
