Finally saw it ...

I recently saw Remarkable Power! at a screening in Beverly Hills and to report - I came away laughing and very happy about finally getting a look at one of the most 'hush hush' films currently in production. People have kept incredibly and surprisingly quiet about this movie as there hasn't been much to go on, but it should make a pretty strong debut as the year progresses. I can easily see this being much talked about in spring.

RP! is an ensemble picture if you haven't already guessed that by looking at the cast list and it has the feel of Magnolia without all the artistic drag or holding you captive in your seat for an inordinate period of time. In places it even made me feel like I was watching Pulp Fiction again for the first time, but I knew better and I couldn't help but laugh as the movie is funnier than it was ever intended to be. Everyone in audience was rolling. I can easily see this film becoming a cult classic.

I went to see this because I've been following the word on what Nora Zehetner's been up to. She looks ravishing in this and she has just as edgy and dark of a role as she did in Brick. Nora is one of the best things to come to the screen in a long time and after people see this they'll know it for sure. I, like many others were disappointed about Nora being killed in Heroes, but that show has plummeted in ratings anyways, and probably won't last another season.

If anyone has any news about when this film is coming out at the theatre, on DVD or anywhere else, a lot of us are waiting to hear. An update from the people making this movie might be nice.
