Hilarious opening credits!

I really liked this film. However, I thought it was going to be a comedy during the opening credits. As the woman writhes around naked, one of the credits reads
"You're not even reading this". Made me chuckle.

"Why would I save a world I no longer have any steak in?"
"Do it for meat."

LOL
I didn't notice that before you mentioned it!

Decent movie otherwise btw, thought it would be much worse. It's not great by any means, and it's a bit drawn out(really isn't plot for 2hours in it), but very nicely directed.

Ha, that just happened to be the ONLY credit I caught while checking out the chick, which made me laugh as well, though I did start paying attention to some of the credits after that just in case there was another funny line. But yeah, very funny.

Loved it. LMAO.

Yeah same, that happened to be the first of the credits I noticed and I had to rewind to see if I was imagining things.

I was wondering if anyone else caught that. My wife and I were watching it on DVD and I caught it through the corner of my eye. I said "Hold on a second!" and started rewinding it to see if I had just imagined it, and my wife asked me "What, you want another look at her ass?"

Strangely enough, those completely gratuitous opening credits were the only things that lived up to my expectations (that it was probably just some trashy movie that would either be fun or an excruciating pain to sit through). Sure, it had a fair bit of nudity, but it was more intelligent than I expected and didn't go as far with the exploitation as it could have. Come on, we're talking about Lilith after all! That's a character with "exploitation" built in. Unfortunately it was too smart and serious to be as much fun as it could have been, but not smart enough to be a great film (although I didn't regret sitting through it).

And I don't think that credit was the only piece of comedy. A certain scene reminded me of the fate of another black character in The Shining ("Hey, here comes the black guy to the rescue! No, he doesn't!") followed by a little wink from Lilith. And that was followed shortly afterwards with a definite nod to Fatal Attraction.

It was just a rental

"it was more intelligent than I expected"
"Unfortunately it was too smart "

Now people regret that movies are too smart and intelligent. Good Lord !

You know what would make you seem more clever? If you avoided making a statement that involved deliberately taking a comment completely out of context. Good Lord!

PS, if you actually failed to comprehend my statement, I'll just remind you that things come in degrees. In addition to up and down, hot and cold, there are conditions that lie somewhere in between. Some foods taste good hot or cold but not in between. And when you are halfway up the stairs there's more than one direction in which you can go because you are neither "up" nor "down". You can acknowledge the fact that, yes, it is possible for stairs to go both up and down without it being a contradiction in terms, and it is possible to climb higher even if you are already high up the stairs, or you can stay stuck in the middle of the stairway confused over the existence of non-absolutes and relativity.

In other words, a film can be more intelligent than other films without being ingenious. Most horror and action film fans who like both a well-constructed, well-written film and a fun piece of cheese but hate all the pretentious crap or mass marketed hollywood pap that lies in between, or films so stupid they should never have existed, would understand how that applies to horror films. They can go from being dull to fun to dull to fun as you head up the scale.
