Evil Dead 4

This was pretty good in that it was an updated version of Evil Dead 1. It really put together a lot of non jumpy scares, which are quality. Also it had a lot of scenes where no gore made all the gore. So directing wise I loved it.

The story also had a lot of potential. They set up a convincing armageddon scenario that wasn't too far off of revelations descriptions.

The issues that made it not really worth watching, however, was that it's the slowest movie on earth. It takes 20 minutes alone to find out the characters' names.

Also there's no real clear ending. I can see that they tried for a MacReady and Childs kind of an ending, however it really didn't work out. They needed a better ending, and they needed to explain where Ted, the gas station attendant, and all the other vacationers went. They also need to explain why things started happening before the plot device got activated.

I'll honestly hold out for a sequel, but I really don't expect one which is what makes me disapointed in the end. (especially a sequel that makes any effort to advance the plot rather than just kill another set of 7 people)
