tartans subtitles weren't great in this...

they weren't bad but it something were so obvious i thought i'd bring it up. now my japanese isnt great, but even if you dont know japanese, after watching this whole movie, it's obvious that she asks her daughter "am i pretty?", not "aim for the neck."

why did they subtitle that other line then? i hate it when they do stuff like that. like i said, i dont really speak japanese that well, so i can pick upe asy stuff like that, but they're no telling what i missed in a halfway complicated sentence...oh well. i guess this should be initiative to study more.

I was just about to post the same thing.
It sort of confused me.
So 'Aim for the neck' was never said why in gods name was it in the subtitles?
I don't understand one word of japanese even though I watch plently of japanese films, so thank you.
At least now I know what was the real line.

The other one I noticed was when she said "chotto matte kudasai!" (Please wait a moment!) and the subtitle said "don't go down there!"
Makes me wonder what other things were taken liberties with.
