I believe the quote went more like this "I'm putting you in the same exact spot that I started in, passing a baton, you know, I passed it to Ginger now we're basically passing it down to Andy, and, and we anticipate 4 or 5 years from now he ought to be handing that baton off to the next person and we just keep on getting pushed up the food chain". (I puased the DVR as I typed it word for word)
It's the last little line from Richard of the show and it is not ment in the maner you twisted it to UN Jefferson. It is ment more as this is how Richard, his brother, and Ginger all got there start at Trademark which tells me Andy must be relativily new to the Trademark Family so now he is getting his start in the same place passing on that Trademark legacy (AKA: Baton).
For Richard it is his first property he bought after founding Trademark. For his brother it is where he lived after he got a job with he brother, and for Ginger it is where she lived while she interened out of college. All that was explained during the enitre episode which is why his statement at the end makes since. Us southren folk talk a bit diffrent and use terms that most people laugh at or have no clue exactly what the person is meaning unless you are from the south. I lived in the Low Country for 3 years before moving back to my hometown so I can admit the terms used are a bit diffrent when discribing things, but once you figure out what they mean the whole statement made by someone makes perfect sence.
