'First episodes

I just caught the first two back to back episodes of Stupid Stupid Man. I think it's hillarious. Great cast, entertaining plots, sexism and racism humour...absolutely perfect. Cant wait till next week.

I'm seriously hoping TV1 is releasing this show as a one-season DVD set. I'd watch it again!

Stupid Stupid Man reminds a lot of the 1993(?) show FrontLine. I only really got to appreciate it this last year as I was 3 when it was on air, but the idea is the same - a documentary-esque look into the lives of journalists. I love the element of the men's magazine - it adds something a bit taboo, and yet removes the mystery of what happens behind-the-scenes.

Oh yeah!! This is one of the best comedies Australia has produced for a while. Clever, sharp, and FUNNY plus a great cast. And it doesn't try too hard, some comedies overplay the 'australianess' this is subtle and is up there with fast forward and frontline. I just hope the commercial networks pay attention eh??
