bob franklin

Hey guys,

I think Bob Franklin is genius. He could say anything and it would crack me up. Has such a dry sense of humour, like Christopher Walken.

I haven't seen this show cos i don't have foxtel, but i've heard good things. So to those who've seen it, how much airtime does Bob Franklin get or what part does he play?

reply

Bob plays Dave Muir the advice column writer of the magazine who seems to be always pining about his 3 year old divorce from his wife. He plays it brilliantly of course. He has quite a lot of air time in the series, much more than in "The Librarians" at least. I think if you're a fan you'd be very pleased with Bob in this series, which has just seen a DVD release in Australia. Fans of The Office, Frontline (Aus), Larry Sanders etc should look this show up.

I've warmed to his style really. Give the man a great script and he could make anyone laugh. The writing on Stupid Stupid man, is somewhat limited. It does its best though. Ross is a crap character on SSM.

I've been watching the show on abc, Bob Franklin and Matthew Newton pretty much steal the show. And i definitely agree, if Bob Franklin has a good script behind him he can be a scene-stealer. SSM is funny enough, but then again I wasn't that into librarians either, probably because i hated the main character so much.

Bob's hilarious. I really only tuned into the show in the beginning for him.
