I'm really looking forward to playing this game, But dose anyone know whos doing the voices for Sam and Max? I rember the bigest disapointment about the cartoon was the voice acting. Bill Farmer and Nick Jameson (the origanl voices of sam and max) are both still in the cartoon industry, so I see no reasons for not casting them......
shareBeing the recording engineer, I'm privy to why the parts were recast. There were a few reasons that I'm aware of, although there may be more:
* Union vs. non-union
* Locality (Bill Farmer and Nick Jameson are in LA and the games are being made entirely in the Bay Area.)
* Overall cost (which takes into account both of the previous items, as well as the notion that since the games are episodic, we'll be recording voice every month for 6 months)
At this moment, the cast is:
* Sam -- David Nowlin
* Max -- William Kasten
* Sybil Pandemik -- Amy Provenzano
* Bosco -- Joey Camen
* Jimmy Two-Teeth -- Joey Camen
* Peepers -- Peter Barto
* Whizzer --Michael Barrett
* Specs -- Doug Boyd
* Hugh Bliss -- David Boyll

I've played the demo and I must say that the new cast is doing its job.
No point in speculating how it would have been to have Bill and Nick, but they sure were a great team :)
