shareit's a dumb twist added at the last minute........it wasn't there in the book...
sharesorry, I haven't seen this film but I have read the book within the past couple of weeks (which is why I've been looking up adaptations).
The twist that the witness didn't actually see the event he claimed to witness certainly was in the book. He just piced it together and thought it would have more weight if he claimed to have seen it.
