It looks to me like another over dramatic movie by Lifetime, but I always watch them anyway :P

Looks to me like some skinny person is mad that a movie is dedicated to "plus size" america.

This movie was LAME with a terrible ending. What about George? Or if she won the contest? I guess it doesn't matter as long as she goes back to being happy and skinny and dating the equivalent of a male model..........George was hotter.

reply

I agree she should have gotten together with George!

YESSS! George was so much cuter, what's his real name? I'd love to look his other acting credits :]

they didn't do that because that's not what mattered. what mattered was that Aly got her story out and fixed things with her family.

I never watch lifetime movies and this is exactly why... this was honestly the most irritating and poorly executed plots I have ever seen. I honestly thought that they were victimizing plus size women everywhere and made them out to be a joke. It was utterly disgusting the way that Kaley Cuoco's character treated her mother in the movie and how their fight was "resolved". I'm so sure that her mom being a big woman just "completely ruined her life" and she had to constantly defend her and it made her life such a living hell. Wow, thank god the girl's character didn't have a mom who was actually disabled or something, who knows what would have happened! LOL! Not only am I a healthy and active size 14, 5 foot 11 plus size model but I am in my 4th year in college and pre-med. Movies like this and other lifetime movies victimize people instead of empowering them and continue society's attitude of fat people being abnormal! The only good message I can see in this movie is that of course you should eat healthy and practice good habits, but unfortunately for me this subdued message was completely overshadowed by the joke fat people are made out to be by television and their "fat suits"... Nice job Kaley Cuoco!

Isn't this supposed to be a true story? She can't "end up with George" if that didn't actually happen.

reply

Thank you! I was consistently bugged throughout this movie and couldn't pinpoint exactly why. You summed it up very nicely. Particularly that annoying scene on the porch with her mother. Ugh! Give me a break.

I know what u guys r talking about, but I have to admit, it's a good decent lifetime movie....^_^ I have to also admit that that George guy is pretty cute...LOL

I liked this movie more than some the other Lifetime movies but I hated the way it ended because it didn't answer the question if Aly won the contest and how other people reacted to the experiment.
