Are you being serious?
Exactly why do you think that every single detail of this movie has to be completely true about your life? So what if you personally don't get pizza every Monday? Perhaps the writers were using their own experience. Maybe they knew someone else who did this. Maybe they know A LOT of people who do this. I'm not fat, and we have a Taco Tuesday every week at my house. One of my best friends keeps candy in her car, and she weighs under 100lbs. So it's not even necessarily about "heavy" people, it's just things that people do.
If your friends and family are taking their cues on how to act in life from a made-for-tv movie, then that's your problem for picking your friends incorrectly and for allowing your family to treat you that way. That has nothing to do with the movie. The movie is not saying "act like this." It never says "This is an accurate way to behave with someone who is heavy."
Hmm...I was on a cruise last year and my ship wasn't attacked by pirates at all! I'm furious with Disney for making me think that ships are always being attacked by the Black Pearl! And this past winter, my husband walked by a sewer, and no mutant turtles grabbed him! DARN those movies!!!
