Credit where credit is due... *SPOILERS*

Can we just give out some credit for conviction please? Just to the characters?

1) Nathan's mother. Can we just give that woman a yay? So maybe it did take her son's supposed death to snap her out of it, but damn she packed her *beep* up good. She even took the car.

2) Nathan. (According to some theories) He didn't die. He got knocked in the head, and he laid there for a day, maybe two, maybe more. He laid there and everyone thought he'd died. And (to me) he let a part of himself die. He left a piece of himself at the house. He left his dad, and honestly, I think he left a bit of Roy too. Roy who brought all this *beep* around, and always said "Touch me" and always reminded me a little bit of Nathan's father. I think he should get some credit for braving (almost) death, and coming back.

That's all.

Are you serious? first of all the character was dead to begin with, he was so passive, something bad was meant to happen to him. And as far as the end goes, at least for me, in the film I watched he died in all ways in the end, and the bus driver boy imagined seeing him alive.

reply

Again... arguable.

My point was that the end was a bit revolutionary, if he really did choose to feign death, then good for him.

If he died.. then he died.

But I don't see how you could think him passive. He booby-trapped his father and he ran.

lol, think what you wanna think, I'm just telling what I saw in the movie, he IS a passive character, especially the end helps you see how far that took him

There was no feigning death considering all the other scenes at the end. They had a funeral for him and it is not likely they left his body there and saved money instead of buying a coffin. The movie indicates he died and became a ghost instead of him gaining powers of invisibility after the incident.

I agree. I mean, as much as I would have liked him surviving the attack, there is simply too much evidence suggesting he's actually dead.

1) As family members/friends leave the church, David is standing in front of them and they don't even notice him.

2) The strongest point suggesting David is actually dead is the very last scene in the bus. In the first shot, he wasn't seen in ANY of the seats, strongly suggesting the bus driver (I can't remember his name) is reliving memories or seeing his "ghost."
