is it just an act??

is this movie real camera or just acting and everyone knew about the movie
and what about the kid while he was driving a bike and almost hit a car?

reply

Pretty much all but the small Harrison Ford scene is real yes.

I can't believe someone would think this is all actors. They have to be one of the "cage-fighting" crowd to even ask this.

Ish shumpted someone vould think this..

And that's the double truth, RUTH!

It's actually a mix of both. Baron Cohen and the man who played Lutz were normally part of the movie and scripted, but almost all the meetings with other characters were in a sense "hidden cameras" where they had no idea what was going on. A good example would be Ron Paul, who had no idea he was being filmed.

I do have my doubts on the casting part of the movie with the parents. I find it hard to believe that it was genuine, at least i hope not.

I'd recommend watching it with the commentary. Very interesting some of the things that were said about the filming, especially there cafe fight at the end.

How can you even get the commentary anymore - do you have to buy the DVD or BRay?

That's what I really miss about renting physical movies.
