shareI saw this movie World Premiere as Sundance and all I can say is WOW!!! She is definitely got talent. Plus I got to meet her at the premiere, she is a really sweet girl. She has a bright future for her.

My guess is that there is no real reason. She was probably just rolling around and spontaneously jumped in. We are just going to have to see it to know for sure though : )

I heard that that scene is supposed to be a quasi-fantasy sequense that represents Tara on the stepping stone into becoming like her mother (Charlize Theron). She skates around the pool area smoking a cigarette, cathing the attention of those boys in the pool. Idk, I just heard this from interviews. But I'm still waiting to see what it's all about.
sharei live in Denver and went to sneak preview of "Sleepwalking" where Anna was there after the movie answering questions. I met her and she does rock, very polite classy young lady, Anna is from Denver I too want to get DVD of sleepwalking, I loved, screw the critics!!
shareActually, most critics didn't care for the film itself,but for the most part gave Annasophia stellar reviews for her performance. There's been quite a bit of early Oscar *buzz* on various Oscar Watch type sites naming her as a possible Best Supporting Actress contender. Given the fact that we're only halfway through the year,these predictions are still a bit premature,however, that type of *buzz* is hardly detrimental to her career....If the production company cares enough---or most importantly---can scrape up enough funds to represent her in a "FYC" (For Your Consideration) campaign,Annasophia could become the next Academy Awards "Cinderella Story". The biggest hurdle Overture Films would have,aside from the mostly negative reviews of the film,is financing an Academy Awards campaign---which,frankly, can take upwards of $$millions$$ to be effective; However,given that Charlize Theron is producer,& the Academy has a great deal of respect for her, if she puts her star power to good use & shows support for her co-star,there may be a minute possibility for a nom. "Half Nelson" (though obviously more critically acclaimed) wasn't exactly a box-office bonanza either,but the production company had enough confidence in Ryan Gosling's performance that they were willing to scrape up as much money as they could to support him in a FYC campaign. Fortunately for Gosling, the "squeaky wheel" technique worked & he was nominated. Perhaps Annasophia will attain the same good fortune. From what I've read,seen & heard of her performance (in particular the early raves at Sundance),she seems deserving of a chance! We'll just have to wait & see,I suppose...

Given Annasophia's notion that Charlize Theron was almost like a sister-mentor to her during the film's production, I doubt that Theron would let this pass if Annasophia generates a realistic chance of getting Oscar buzz. I mean, if she really coached and helped Annasophia bloom into a geart multi-dimensional young actress that she is, I'm sure she'd be more than glad to support her in the long run, especially the possibility of her getting an Oscar nomination for this role.
The dvd comes out in a matter of a couple weeks and I can't wait to see it and judge for myself how badly I want to root for this girl to make a real name for herself in the Oscars.
Man the oscars is so complicated... Oscar nod or not though, AnnaSophia is a winner in my book.
