Sleepwalking DVD release (according to Target)

http://www.target.com/Sleepwalking-Overture-Title-2/dp/B0015OKWK8

So, Target apparently has Sleepwalking on dvd available for pre-order. It says the dvd won't release until December 31, 2008. I don't really know whether or not this is an official release date seeing as how unusually long that is from the time it was released in theaters. And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who's noticed this. Idk, I'm really hoping to see this film, regardless of the beating it's been taking from critics.

I've heard that it's out on August 1st. So, that's what I'm hoping for.

Plus, Dark Knight is gonna be out on DVD around that same time, apparantly, and Dark Knight isn't even out yet, whereas Sleepwalking is, so it makes more sense for August 1st to be the release date, in my opinion.

I heard august too. I hope that's true, because december is too far away!

reply

Jeez even August is pretty far away. I can wait, but I really do want to see it.

yeah, i doubt the whole target thing is accurate. cuz the end of the year would be plain ridiculous. But if multiple people have heard an August release date, then I'll stand by it, it does make sense.

Got this from Google news today:

the target web site says that this movie is going to be released on 08JULY not 31DEC

They mustve finally updated the information cuz that wasnt the case when I looked there a few weeks ago.

July's not far away, can't wait to see it.

Yeah I don't think people should pay much attention to this thread anymore. I started this thread long before Sleepwalking even had a release date, and Target probably only had such a release date as a placeholder for the actual July 8th release.

I've seen the film through the link someone recently posted here in imdb. I didn't really mind, I longed to see the movie so I took the first opportunity that came across. For the sake of expanding my library I'm probably still going to buy this film. The acting and the artistic shots were great, but the story and directing were a bit, bleh.
