Entertainment Weekly gave this film an F!!

Don't you think that's a little harsh? I don't understand why critics all of a sudden stick their nose up to serious film about serious situations that atleast have some substance if they aren't perfect enough yet they will give higher markings to films like Transformers. Sad.

The reason why is that because SleepWalking and Transformer are completely different types of movie. You can't really compare a comedy/action movie to a drama movie. No award shows does that. You just don't put them in the same category. You compare drama to drama and so forth.

so what I'd rather watch a story with some substance than soem action trash. Entertainment Weekly are always d*cks and way too harsh in their reviews. They bash everything I like. And I like good stuff.

reply

But just remember, it's your opinion. If you don't like what EW have to say, then don't read their reviews. Or you can just read them and do the opposite. Ex. They trash a certain movie, you would then go see it and vice versa.

reply

I think I might just have to do that! They will even give obvious masterpieces a C sometimes and I'm like, damn cna't you ever give a good film an A? Roger Ebert has more my taste.

kso, that's a bit harsh. I saw this movie and it isn't as bad as everybody thinks.

I want to be a film critic, and sure, I've seen better. But the acting delivered from AnnaSophia saved me. The plotline gets dragged, sure, but it's not the end of the world. & it surely isn't "F" worthy.

Save a collar, pop a cherry(:

It's pretty much as simple as most people are making it out to be... Actors do great job (I really enjoyed AnnaSophia's performance especially during the road trip scene), but the story is lagging.

Yes, an F is way too harsh.

This movie blew balls.

The movie ended with the line: "he said that-today....is the first day of the rest of your life. "

Ya kiddin me?!?!

reply

And then Charlize Theron went all wide-eyed, and said, "MY life?"

Oh man, GTF outa here! Awful!

I have a new philosophy. I'm only going to dread one day at a time.

reply

yeah i dont think it deserves an F

Entertainment weekly mentality is Britney Spears so it's not surprising they would give a well acted movie a low rating, they are so use to subpar entertainment they don't know how to rate a well acted movie.
