Just Cause VS GTA Series

I find this game a political version of the GTA series, Who else thinks this?.

I suppose, being that you are working for the CIA trying to topple an "El Presidente" corrupt dictator type, although I don't think it's trying to convey any political message.

Seems like its just an excuse for the tropical environment.

I thought it had a strong "desperado" theme to it as well what with the over the top gunplay and physics-defying stunts.

If there was a remake, It should have more realistic weapons and vehicles.

but leave in the grapple literally the best part of the game

Agreed. If you took out the parachute and the grappling hook the game would be almost unplayable.

Is this topic a joke? GTA was innovative, while Just Cause is immitative. JC picked and choose what they wanted to take directly from the series (a garage to store vehicles) and added some features (parachute ejections). Their problem is they didn't steal enough, and what they did steal didn't work or couldn't make us care about the game. JC is devoid of any sort of personality or identity, which GTA has always had a surplus of.
