SLASHERPOOL.COM REVIEW (5 out of 5)
http://slasherp.nexcess.net/htm/reviews/fiveacrosstheeyes.htm

PLOT:
Five teenage girls decide to take a shortcut home but
get hopelessly lost. When they decide to stop at a
small store by the road to ask for directions, they
make the horrible mistake of bumping into another car.
They make a hit and run, thinking that everything is
going to be all right. But they're going to pay for
what they did... oh are they ever going to pay!

REVIEW:
This was the grainiest, most homemade-looking horror
movie I've ever seen, and I'll be damned if it didn't
turn out to be one of the best horror movies ever.
I *beep* loved every second of it! This is what
horror movies are all about. Forget torture-porn, we
don't need to actually see the gore when pure violence
and brutality and madness is so much more disturbing.
I'm telling you, this is one and a half hour of
constant panicking, constant screaming, constant violence
and constant entertainment. Because no matter how
difficult it may be to watch this movie at times due
to its graphic nature, this is one kick-ass film and
I don't think that anyone can disagree with me on that.

There's not really a whole lot of story in here. Five
girls get lost while on their way home and soon
find themselves terrorized by a psychotic woman. And
man is she ever so psychotic. She plays demented games
with the girls, chasing them, torturing them, forcing
them to do nasty things and she has no plans of letting
them die easily. I don't think that I've ever sat
through a movie with so much chaos and hysteria in it.
And the thing is, it all feels so real. It was like
watching a documentary. Remember that disturbing
footage of the high school hazing that a bunch of
young girls were involved in a couple of years ago?
Yeah well, this movie evokes pretty much the exact
same emotions, just because it feels so realistic.

It didn't even bother me for a moment that the movie
was extremely grainy and shot with handheld camera
as that only added to the whole feeling of the movie.
In fact, I'm sure it wouldn't have been even half as
effective had it been shot in the good old fashioned
way. The picture is occasionally blurry, some camera
angles stay on for way too long and the entire thing
feels so amateurish - and I LOVED IT! It's simply
genius. This is by far the most demented movie that
I've seen to this date - despite the fact that it had
close to no gore in it.

I can't stress what a unique experience this was enough
as I haven't seen anything like this ever before. It's
simply a brilliant and disturbing horror movie with a
genius ending which both satisfies and entertains.
As you can probably hear, I'm extremely worked up over
this movie. It's just so *beep* brilliant! Still head
in with low expectations so that you won't be
disappointed, but I don't think that you will either
way. Enough talking, now go out and get this movie!!

GORE:
Lots of blood splashing everywhere but no real gore.

SOUNDTRACK:
This was also genius. The techno music mixed with
the black metal got you even more worked up.

BOTTOMLINE:
Simply outstanding! I'm lost for words. Five Across
The Eyes is one of the most unique experiences I've
ever had the pleasure of sitting through. It's a
chaotic, demented, disturbing horror flick and it
works on every level! I loved it. I absolutely loved it.

No nudity...No gore...No production values...No scary stuff...No score(just some crap i assume they downloaded from itunes or somewhere) No plot...just dumb teenage girls screaming and blabbing...this would be a comedy if it wasent so damn annoying.

words of wisdom to you and yours "you lie with dogs...you come up smelling like one" . have you seen "Murder Set Pieces? Live Feed? hell even "Suburban Nightmare'? never been to your lame sight and now i never will. enjoy obscurity...hope it was worth the comp.

Oh I get it--only YOUR opinion is correct? He can't like one film more than another unless you do? The beauty of art (and yes a low budget exploitation flick can be considered art) is that it is subjective. So rather than acting like Horror Moses preaching from the mount, why not try to engage in a conversation instead?

It is okay not to like a movie. But to slag someone for liking a movie? Lames.

Also, in my biased opinion...BLOOD TRAILS rules. But I like the euro-vibe. And the black forest.

Well perhaps I like his reviews because we have similar taste in movies. Inside is a good flick to be sure. I love this movie too.

honestly..if he had not posted the url to his ghey site i would not have been nearly as harsh. But since he chose to plug his site along with this crap-fest then i have to assume he has motives other then providing an honest opinion. It amazes me that imdb allows that kind of spam...but then their spell checker wont allow me to post a review containing the term avant-garde so i assume the corporate slobs of amazon have now fully taken over control of imdb and we should expect nothing but mediocrity.

Anthro (the reviewer of Slasherpool.com) is ok guy. Yes, his taste is weird and I almost never look up to his score he gave for the movie, but I love reading his reviews. If I like things he mention in the movie I go looking for that movie, if not I avoid the movie.

I hate when people want to watch (or don't) just because of the IMDB rating or other web site rating. I don't like that since it's subjective opinion, not objective and wide.

Those reviewers just put out their opinion on the movie, you just need to figure out if you would like movie or not (and try to watch it)

When Im about to buy or watch movies, I go to IMDB (or other site) and READ THE PLOT. If plot is interesting, it's mine.
