I think some reviewers are missing the point of this film.

I think a lot of reviewers have been missing the point of this film. Yes there was no plot and the acting and script was terrible, but these points which usually make up the core of most mainstream films were purposely (at least I felt they were), made to be incidental to the atmosphere of the film which is what makes it a very fine amateur horror film. Five Across the Eyes felt to me like some dark black metal sojourn down dark forest paths (even the blood makeup around the eyes of the girls almost imitated bands like Mayhem), with a jarring and off-kilter soundtrack, manic camera work and editing that created a contrastive feeling between the dark, night road ahead and the hysteria of the inside of the car. The two hours flew by for me because I wasn't looking for dramatic plot twists and clever dialogue, but because I let the film take me on a journey into chaos which is what I think it was trying to do. Try rewatching the film with these things in mind and maybe you'll have a better experience of it.
