I almost puked when I saw the trailer. Ok, it's supposed to be "extreme" but there's no way any sensible censor authority should allow some of the stuff for public screening. We're a little mild in the east, and we like it that way, the Punjabi-Pakistani cinema notwithstanding.

It would be great if the gore could be toned down in order for the film to be put up for mainstream release. Considering Zibahkhana should break even on DVD sales [international + local] alone, it would only be something positive for the deserted cinema houses and multiplexes. They probably could use some "elite" cinema to bring the "elite" audiences in. Zibaahkhana should do the trick.

And please, someone cut that really corny "Pakistan ki Pehlee Extreme horror film" tag too.

any suggestions for a better tag line in urdu

dehshatnaak, daraoni, bhayanak all sound very old school, hairy monster style.......extreme seemed to fit the bill and is a very generally understood word thanks to that dreadful TV channel that specializes in the stuff! (and that horrid soft drink).

but, any suggestions for alternatives?

and as for the gore, point certaintly appreciated....in Denmark where we screened twice, the local film authorities gave Zibahkhana a 15 Rating.

the actual film isnt that gory... i would have rated it 14a.

Havent seen it yet but Im gonna buy the dvd soon enough! A question though, some ppl mention it being gory and some other says not as much but still Im wondering if this movie have had any kind of censorship from the Pakitanese government cos with what we all hear coming from Pakistan Im surprise this movie was even made!

Do you live under a rock? :) There's much more to Pakistan than what Reuters or AFP tries to show you. Trust me.

I'm not a huge fan of gore, but I think it was fairly well handled and appropriate here, considering this is a slasher film. My main problem was with the weak acting, awkward pacing and general choppy feel (pun intended). There seems to be a lot of waiting for very little payoff. 3/10 stars from me.

Maybe the trailer just showed the gruesome gore.
