Who asked for/wants this *beep* ?

"Punched Up" should have never been made. And it will never 'catch fire'. It's of value to approximately, uh...well, no one except for maybe its own staff. And after suffering through the show itself, I can surmise that if I ever by chance ran into that one guy that admitted to actively sitting down to catch "Punched Up" on a weekly basis (if he in fact even exists, which is doubtful), I would probably not want to know him. This show sucks that bad.

I mean, maybe if the stakes were a bit higher for Canadian TV producers - like, if they were somehow made to feel the forces of supply and demand, for instance - they would sense a drive to produce relatable, humorous shows that human beings - as Chris Rock says, "mammals who breathe air and drink water" - might take an interest in watching. Or at least something containing some elementary particle of, I dunno, "entertainment value". For instance, while "Corner Gas" might not be to my personal taste, I can appreciate that there are people out there that do watch and enjoy it, and that justifies its existence. But this? Why does it exist? Why must it?

COMEDY NETWORK NEEDS TO IMPLEMENT SOME FORM OF QUALITY CONTROL WHEN IT COMES TO THEIR ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING. Cut this *beep* out already!

I agree 100% at least with your first sentence and last sentence.

You are right, I have seen this show too and can't believe it's on TV. Except for people who make their livings off of this show I don't know who would 'ask for/want' Punched Up.

reply

Nobody asked for it and nobody wants it.

reply

Exactly nobody wants it or asked for it but we're still stuck with it.
