Can anyone else not stand Mike?

He's always about to fly off the handle, constantly just always so damn angry and frustrated about everything, he bullies pretty much everyone including his own family, rarely ever admits when he makes mistakes and just generally seems to have a God complex about himself. They need someone to knock his character down a few notches 'cause Jesus it's getting annoying. Watching him be duped by Penn all season two when the gay guy clearly knew she was a psychotic b***h was so grating.

He's not a very good cop, is he? Or dad or husband? Well-acted, if you've seen Hugh Dillon in other shows.

You could tell Pen was a nut job right away, but his hormones took over.

The angry, rogue cop schtick ran thin on me after one episode.

This show jumped the shark in a lot of places, for example, the cop that is killed in the car explosion and his fellow cops just accept that it's accidental, ya right!

I felt a little empathy for him in Season 1 with all the *beep* just started season 2 now.

Also about the cop killed in the explosion. It was ruled a suicide, they didnt say it was accidental. Plus they built it up a bit beforehand with the whole wife left him scene and they found alcohol in the trunk. So they contributed that to it as well. I am sure if the death looked suspicious they would have looked further and probably would have noticed the fractured skull from the pipe but they ruled it suicide so that was it.

I am watching season 3 right now and I was thinking about how all of the "bad guys" are somewhat sympatehic. I actually don't want anything bad to happen to Ivan, I kind of like him. Yet, here you have a main character, Mike, and I don't even know if you are supposed to like him. I sure as hell don't. Sadie has become really dislikeable as well, at least to me.

While I agree Mike is confusing as far as likeability goes, but how can you like Ivan? He brutally murdered his wife at the start. He sucks. And I think Sadie has been my fav character through this whole series.

The cop I hated the most in a show that seemed more like a horror movie than a police procedural. When he broke the leg of the poor homeless single mother trying to take care of her baby in an abandoned rat-infested mall, that was the end of it for me.

I so agree with you, and I have only seen season 1! I'm awaiting the worst for the next seasons to come since Mike is not a respectable person for me, I think his temper is annoying and he has ways that don't show any empathy for anyone. I don't like his wife Audrey either, she's bland and terribly judgmental towards others. My favorite character is their daughter, Sadie, she's interesting and smart. I also like the actress.
