So, our 'hero' is the illegitimate son of one of Santa's reindeer, as a result of a one-night stand? That was enough for me, deleted it off the TIVO.

Actually, unless they were married to another reindeer, if was fornication, not adultery.

You forgot about the wolves that want to eat reindeer, Santa, and little kids.

...because no kids ever are born of one-night stands. And it's totally their fault and they should be punished for it and cannot be the hero of a story because this is the 17th century.
