hey, so after you beat the game, is there a way to unlock the true form of amaterasu for continued gameplay? i've read around some places you can, and when i tried starting a new game "start from the beginning" i still look the same. any ideas?
The Hitokiri is untouchable.
You can change your looks in the menu.....you did get "presents from issun", didn't you?

shareWhen you complete the game how well you did determines how many karmic transformers you get. These are basically skins. You get new dog breeds to play as; the plain white wolf image mortals see Ameterasu as, the green shiranui statue, Ameterasu drawn in a portrait style manner and Ameterasu with larger ‘wings’ and more intense markings. There is also the Karmic returner so you can go back to the default skin.
You can’t play in the image of a human though, only canine.
These appear in your tools menu way down at the bottom. If you have none you must have died a considerable amount of times while completing the game. And missed a lot of yen and praise.
