Did anyone else have trouble finding the last tree they had to bloom in the cursed city? (I can't remember what the city's called, it seems like several years since I've been there, god this is a long game.) I also couldn't find the pick-pocket or figure out what that electric ghost thing was for. I think there were also a couple of other side-quests that I missed. Too much to do! It sucks that you can't go back after you finish.

Where the heck is that tree?
Or the purpose of that ghost?

But I figured the pick pocketing stuff: on ryoshima beach you will find a running guy - cross his path and talk to him - he will challenge you to a race. Quite difficult, I didn't beat him - but if you do it will get you something he stole.

I feel a bit dirty, but I'm playing the game over again using a walkthrough so I don't miss any of the side quests. Apparently the last tree is on the old guy's head! I don't know how the *beep* they expected us to work that out.

That’s not the pickpocket. He’s in the Commoners Quarters, power slash the rocks near the guard standing beneath Waka’s headquarters at night to find him. Then you have to defeat him in a couple of special races to get back the things he took. Pocket watch, millet dumplings, Tao mask.

Why do people so frequently get told to "read the book" on a movie database?

The ghost is so you can complete the little quest to retrieve all of the stolen items from Hayazo. If you don't have the last glaive, Raiden provides a source of electricity.
